Our history
With more than 180 years of experience as master chocolatiers and processors, in an artisan way with attention to detail, we continue to share this passion and know-how from Sant Sadurní d'anoia (Barcelona), the starting point of Simón Coll, and from where we continue to write our history.

A brand that you fall in love with. A soulful project which began in 1797 in the neighborhood of Santa María del Mar, Barcelona, and in which Simón Coll has continued to care for and value its great artistic heritage since 1972. Chocolate Amatller's history and prestige are comparable to the great pioneering brands in the world of chocolate. Throughout its history, the brand has had graphic communication materials by the most outstanding creators of each artistic period. It was years after the acquisition of the brand, when Simón Coll relaunched Chocolate Amatller, recovering its authentic designs and developing formulas that were adapted to the new consumer of gourmet chocolate, thanks to our experience as producers.
