CSR allows us, as a company, to maximise profits and develop our activity in a respectful way in which all scenarios form a part. We want to share our commitment with our clients, collaborators and partners, in a transparent and clear way.

Objectives of the implemented CSR policy

-To position Simón Coll, Nadal y Saroti and El Árbol del Cacao, along with their associated projects, with quality standards in sustainability and which rely on the capacity to generate value for all the people involved.

- To support the development of plans, models and projects which require CSR for efficient and sustainable management.

- To promote team spirit and camaraderie when interacting with the communities established in areas of influence, as well as the workers and collaborators that make up Simón Coll, Nadal y Saroti and El Árbol del Cacao.

Areas of application of CSR

The scope of application of CSR policy applies to all our collaborators, internally and externally.


-Internal scope:


Governance: ethical principles and foundations that create a framework of transparency and compliance with regulations, for both the company and for its collaborators.

Collaborators: the creation of optimal working conditions is sought based on the pillars of CSR for Simón Coll, Nadal and Saroti and El Árbol del Cacao, as well as their associated projects.

Workers: business community

Suppliers: We work with suppliers who act in line with our ethical criteria.
Environment: Refers to respect and care for the environment, aiming to reduce environmental impact and maximise the positive aspects for its preservation.
Communities: business community

The axes of action of our CSR policy are focused on all our audiences, both internal and external, and are developed around Occupational Health, Training and professionalisation, and environmental benefits. They are framed within the principles of the Rule of Law, Sustainability, and Benefits for vulnerable groups.

Human rights:


-To comply with legislation, adopting guidelines that are beneficial and exacting with current regulations. These requirements include labour and environmental regulations, among others.

-To follow the approved guidelines that stipulate the characteristics of the responsible behaviour of workers and collaborators.

-To guarantee that all employees are aware of the internal policies related to environment, occupational safety and transparency.

-To promote communication and dialogue with all the key players in order to achieve coherence and align expectations.

-To harmonise the activities of the company with the socio-professional realities of disadvantaged groups, inviting them to participate in our production and supply chain.

-To promote the training and education of workers, adapting the strengths of each worker in each work environment.

-To promote respect for different ethnic, cultural and physical groups, as well as integration in all processes where possible.

-To seek the existence of a safe and healthy work environment that promotes the physical and mental well-being of all workers.


Environmental respect:

-To strengthen the social aspects inside and outside of the company with projects that promote sustainable development.

-To report, in a recurrent, relevant and reliable manner, the activities and results obtained by the company in its environmental aspect.

-To care for the preservation of the natural environment, respecting biodiversity.

-To control the pollution generated during the different phases of the projects, as well as the reduction of energy consumption in the two factories.

-To seek proper management of waste from company operations, as well as its reduction through effective recycling and reuse practices.


Relations with key actors must always be framed within an environment of open dialogue and open communication, whether through direct contact, social networks, website, CRM, among others. -To consume natural resources responsibly and, if possible, encourage the use of renewable resources.

-To carry out an environmental risk mitigation system that, in addition to facing the consequences, considers its preservation.

-To inform and train employees on environmental issues that pertain to the project and human responsibility for the environment.

-To share with the supply chain of Simón Coll, Nadal and Saroti Chocolates and El Árbol del Cacao, their associated projects and the mitigation methods used.
