Spider Cookies



  1. Take the butter out of the fridge 1h before making the recipe so that it gets soft
  2. Preheat the oven at 200ºC with fan and heat above and below
  3. Beat the egg in a bowl
  4. Add the sugar and stir slowly
  5. Add the diced and soft butter and stir with a spatula
  6. Add the flour and the yeast
  7. Once all the ingredients are well mixed, add the cocoa powder and keep mixing the mixture with your hands until you get a solid dough
  8. Put it in the fridge for 30min
  9. Cover a surface with flour and spread the dough with a kitchen roll, until it is approximately 1cm thick
  10. Cut the dough in circles using a glass (the spider’s body)
  11. Use part of the dough to make strips of about 2-3 cm (the spider’s legs)
  12. Put the spiders on a baking sheet lined with vegetable paper and press the legs with the body so that they do not peel off
  13. Put them in the oven for 10-15min at 180ºC
  14. Take them out and let them cool down
  15. Stick the sugar eyes with a little bit of water
